DOH Reports 2,741 New COVID Cases Statewide Sunday

The state Department of Health reported 2,741 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 217,775. Seven new fatalities were reported.
A total of 217 new infections were identified Sunday on the Kaua‘i.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
- O‘ahu: 152,596
- Hawai‘i: 23,307
- Maui: 25,811
- Kaua‘i: 9,662
- Moloka‘i: 857
- Lana‘i: 535
- Pending: 0
- Out-of-State: 5,007

A total of 7,500 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,180 have died.
