The National Weather Service has canceled the Tsunami Advisory for Hawai‘i.

However, Emergency officials advise that strong or unusual ocean conditions may continue for several hours, so appropriate caution should still be exercised by boaters, swimmers, and beachgoers.

Due to surges in the ocean, Ocean Safety Bureau officials are advising no swimming at Po‘ipū Beach Park and Salt Pond Beach Park until further notice.

A high surf advisory was extended to 11 a.m. Sunday.
