The County of Kaua‘i issued its weekly road closures for the week of Jan. 8-14 Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) ‘ELE‘ELE (NIGHT WORK)

Two-lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between mile markers 15.9 and 16, Waialo Road and ‘Ele‘ele Road, on Monday evening, Jan. 10, through Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for ‘Ele‘ele Pedestrian Overpass railing installation.

1) WAILUA (24-HOUR/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Sunday, Jan. 9 through Friday, Jan. 14, 24-hours-a-day, for road and shoulder work.

2) ANAHOLA

Single lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 7.1 and 7.6, Aleka Loop and Ala Road, on Monday, Jan. 10 through Friday, Jan. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving work.

3) KEALIA (24-HOUR/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right shoulder closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 11.8 and 13, Kukuihale Road and Kamalomaloo Stream, on Sunday, Jan. 9 through Friday, Jan. 14, 24-hours-a-day, for shoulder work.

4) ANAHOLA

Bridge closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the eastbound direction near mile marker 13.6, at Anahola Stream, on Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work.

5) KĪLAUEA

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in both directions between mile markers 19 and 19.6, Kapuna Road and Wailapa Road, on Monday, Jan. 10 through Friday, Jan. 14, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for resurfacing work.
