175 New COVID Cased Confirmed on Kaua‘i

The Hawai‘i State Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 175 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, Jan. 5.

Today’s cases bring the number of active cases to 623, with seven hospitalized, and 4,728 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s cumulative case count includes 4,654 confirmed locally, eight probable, and 66 positive cases diagnosed elsewhere – which includes three of today’s cases, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.
