DOH Reports 1,561 New COVID Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 1,561 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 106,158. Three new fatalities were reported.
Kauaʻi County has a test positivity rate of 7.5% and a seven-day case average of 43. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 74,890
Hawaiʻi: 12,619
Maui: 11,232
Kaua‘i: 3,695
Moloka‘i: 330
Lana‘i: 159
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 3,233

A total of 5,249 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,085 have died.
