Weekly Road Closures: Dec.25-Jan.1

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced road closures for the week of Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Friday, Dec. 24 or Friday, Dec. 31 in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, unless permitted. Kuhio Highway special use lanes will not be operational.

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTE 56) —

1) WAILUA (24-HOUR/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Sunday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 31, 24-hours-a-day, for road and shoulder work.

2) ANAHOLA (24-HOUR/WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Shoulder closure and lane shift on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between the vicinity of milepost 12 sign to Kukuihale Road, on Sunday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 31, 24-hours a day to allow crews to work without lane closure.
