Road Closures Scheduled for Kawaihau-Hau‘a‘ala-Mailihuna Complete Streets Project

Portions of Kapa‘a will be closed from Dec. 27-30, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for the Kawaihau-Hau‘a‘ala-Mailihuna Complete Streets Project.

The scope of work includes grading, drain line, and sidewalk construction in the vicinity of the Hau‘a‘ala Road, Kolohala Road, Mailihuna Road and Kawaihau Road intersection.

There will be one-lane closures on Mailihuna and Kawaihau roads. On Dec. 29, Hau‘a‘ala Road will be closed for work. See map below for more details.

A temporary traffic detour route will be available through Kolohala.

Motorists are advised to expect brief and occasional delays. The dates and times of the closure are subject to change depending on weather or other factors.
