Over 1,500 New COVID Cases Confirmed Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 1,511 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 96,765. Three new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

Kauaʻi County has a test positivity rate of 3.5% and a seven-day case average of 16. The state’s daily case average is now 888, with a test positivity rate of 8.1%.

A total of 5,202 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,077 have died.
