DOH Reports 282 New COVID Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 282 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 89,875. Five new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

Kauaʻi County has a test positivity rate of 2.2% and a seven-day case average of 10.

The state’s daily case average is now 180, with a test positivity rate of 2.8%. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

A total of 5,138 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,063 have died.
