55 New COVID Cases Confirmed Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 55 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 88,440. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

Kauaʻi County continues to have the highest test positivity rate in the state at 2.8% with a seven-day case average of 15.

The state’s seven-day average is now 90 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 59,955
Hawai‘i: 11,802
Maui: 10,095
Kaua‘i: 3,223
Moloka‘i: 244
Lana‘i: 145
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,976

A total of 5,087 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,033 have died.
