Flood Advisory in Effect for Kaua´i County Through Monday Morning

A flood advisory is in effect until 11 am Monday for Kauai County. This advisory includes the entire island of Kaua´i.
At 7:54 am, radar and automated rain gauges indicated moderate to heavy rainfall moving over Kaua´i from the south. Peak rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour were occurring over the south side of the island from Kalaheo to Kekaha.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. A Flood Watch is also in effect for the county through Tuesday afternoon.
