Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announced road and lane closures for the week of Nov. 27 to Dec. 3. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.

— KAUMUALIʻI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —
MALUHIA
Single lane closure on Kaumualiʻi Highway (Route 50) between Maluhia Road and mile marker 6 (“Halfway Bridge”) on Monday, Nov. 29 through Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for brush clearing. LĪHUʻE TO PRINCEVILLE
Roving right lane closure on Kūhiʻō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between Rice Street and Hanalei Plantation Road on Monday, Nov. 29 through Dec. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for installation of weed control matting. Travel in both directions will be maintained with alternating traffic control (contraflow).
WAILUA (24-HOUR WEEKLY WORK)
Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiʻō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.6, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaʻa Bypass, on Saturday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 3, 24-hours-a-day, for road and shoulder work.
ANAHOLA
Shoulder closure and lane shift on Kūhiʻō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between the vicinity of milepost 12 sign to Kukuihale Road, on Monday, Nov. 29 through Friday, Dec. 3, 24-hours a day to allow crews to work on centerlane widening without lane closure.
KĪLAUEA
Right lane closure of Kūhiʻō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between vicinity of Moloaʻa Stream/Kapuna Road and Waiakalua Street, on Monday, Nov. 29 through Friday, Dec. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping. Work will begin in the northbound direction and will switch to southbound once northbound landscaping is completed. Travel in both directions will be maintained with alternating traffic control (contraflow).
