135 New COVID Cases Reported Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 135 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 87,345. No new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

While Kauaʻi County’s test positivity rate has continued to steadily decline, it remains the highest in the state at 2.5%. The county has a seven-day case average of 12.

The state’s seven-day average is now 76 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 59,397
Hawai‘i: 11,678
Maui: 9,939
Kaua‘i: 3,061
Moloka‘i: 246
Lana‘i: 145
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,879

A total of 5,018 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,015 have died.
