Surf Advisory Extended to Saturday Morning
The National Weather Service in Honolulu extended a high surf advisory issued for west- and north-facing shores on Niʻihau and Kauaʻi to Saturday at 6 a.m.
Surf up to 15 feet tonight is expected along exposed north-facing shores with a steady decline through early Saturday. Additionally, surf up to 12 feet tonight is expected along exposed west-facing shores.
Impacts are expected to be moderate with strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.
Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
