Sidewalk Construction Scheduled in Kapaʻa

A portion of Mailihuna Road in Kapaʻa will be closed for sidewalk construction starting next week.

Work is slated to begin Nov. 19 to Dec. 3 and run from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A temporary traffic detour route will be available through Kolohala Road and Hau’a’ala Road.

Motorists are advised to expect brief and occasional delays. Additionally, those driving in the area should exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area and along the detour route through Kolohala Road, which is narrow and near the homes of residents.
