Road Resurfacing Scheduled in Waimea

Portions of Waimea will be closed for road resurfacing work starting in December.

According to the Department of Public Works, the work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays along portions of Waimea Road and Panako Road, starting Dec. 1 and ending Dec. 6.

Work is weather permitting.

Flaggers will be positioned at the ends of the closures to direct traffic. No parking will be allowed in the work zones during this time.

Motorists are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations.
