The National Weather Service in Honolulu reports a high surf advisory for north- and west-facing shores of Niʻihau and Kauaʻi from 6 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.

NWS reports there will be large-breaking waves from 10 to 15 feet. Impacts will be moderate.

Along with large-breaking waves, beachgoers should expect shore break, strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.

Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
