Prosecuting Attorney Special Election Postcards Mailed to Voters

In preparation for the upcoming Prosecuting Attorney Special Elections, the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division will be mailing Special Election Notification Postcards to properly registered voters on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021. 

A small number of voters who submitted certain change of address requests with the United States Postal Service (USPS) will receive a Notice of Voter Registration Update Postcards. Postcards will begin arriving in households by the end of the week.

In addition to providing information on the upcoming Special Elections, the Postcards are also used to maintain the voter rolls. Anyone receiving a Postcard addressed to someone unknown or who no longer resides at the address is asked to write, “NOT AT THIS ADDRESS” and place the Postcard back in the mail. The USPS will return the Postcard to the Elections Division, and it will be used to update the corresponding voter’s registration record.

The Prosecuting Attorney Special Primary Election will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, and Special General Election on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022.  Additional information will be released in the coming weeks.

Finally, note that official election information will only be disseminated directly through the Elections Division of Office of the County Clerk, the State Office of Elections, or via the Public Information Officer of the County of Kaua‘i.

The Elections Division cannot guarantee the accuracy of election information obtained through alternate means, as a result, the public is urged to contact the Elections Division directly if they have any questions regarding material viewed on social media or related sources.
