The Department of Water (DOW) has issued a water conservation request for customers on Ele’ele Nani until further notice due to a waterline leak that was affecting the Hanapēpē-Ele’ele water system.

Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only, such as drinking, cooking and sanitation needs to avoid a full water service outage.

Water conservation measures also include turning off fixtures that automatically draw water, including ice machines, irrigation systems and refraining from car washing.

Customers may experience white or discolored water at the tap and this is normal; water should clear out after DOW crews flush out the water. No customer action is required during conservation notice.
