The Department of Water (DOW) announces a water service shutdown on Kūhi‘ō Highway in Hā’ena from the Mānoa Stream Bridge to the Hā’ena State Park at Kē’ē Beach, for waterline repair and improvement work on Monday, Sept. 13 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

DOW customers located north of the Mānoa Stream should prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:

  • Store water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
  • Notify neighbors, family, and friends about the water service shutdown.
  • Those with faulty water heaters should ensure their water heaters do not empty.
  • Monitor water service updates on Facebook at www.facebook.com/KauaiDOW.

Additionally, public facilities, such as restrooms and showers that are located within the service area may not be available to the public until water services are restored.

For more information, call the Department of Water at 245-5461.
