Shoulder Work Scheduled on Kōloa Road

Multiple sections of Kōloa Road are scheduled for lane closures from Sept. 13 to Sept. 17, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for punch list items and shoulder work.

Motorists are advised to expect brief and occasional delays.

Additionally, Ala Kalanikaumaka will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to southbound traffic from
Kōloa Road to Lopaka Paipa Boulevard for crews to complete the makai portion of the Kōloa Road
roundabout. This means that all eastbound traffic on Kōloa Road, heading into Kōloa Town, will be
detoured to Po‘ipū Road. During this closure, the Kōloa Road roundabout will be open to westbound
and eastbound traffic, and Ala Kalanikaumaka will remain open for northbound traffic.

Ōma‘o Road is a narrow residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph for the entire length of Ōma‘o Road. Through trucks are prohibited on Ōma‘o Road for the duration of this project.
The current projected project final completion date is Oct. 13, 2021. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
