DOH Reports 553 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 553 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 63,502. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

The state’s two-week average is now 877 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.9%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 44,764
Maui: 7,375
Hawai‘i: 7,634
Kaua‘i: 1,290
Moloka‘i: 159
Lana‘i: 131
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,149

A total of 3,506 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 589 have died.

To date, a total of 1,866,799 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 63.3% of the population fully vaccinated at 71.5% who have received at least one shot.
