Remnants from former Tropical Storm Linda have the potential to bring flooding rains to all Hawaiian Islands on Sunday through Monday, officials announced this afternoon.

A Flash Flood Watch will go into effect for all islands starting Sunday. The greatest threat for heavy rainfall will start on Sunday night, Aug. 21, and last through Monday, Aug. 22.

Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency is advising the public to prepare for potentially severe weather, flooding, landslides, strong winds, and other possible impacts. Know the hazards in your area. Prepare an emergency ‘Go-Kit,’ including masks, gloves and sanitizer, and have a plan in place for your ʻohana.
