A high surf advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, according to the National Weather Service in Honolulu.
The surf will rise six to 10 feet tonight through Sunday impacting east-facing shores of Kauaʻi.
Beachgoers should expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.
