25 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed on Kauaʻi

The Hawaiʻi Department Health reported 752 new COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 53,598. Four new COVID-related deaths were reported.

A total of 25 new infections were identified on Kauaʻi Thursday. On Wednesday, Kauaʻi County reported 237 active cases, with two hospitalized.

The state’s two-week average is now 680 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.5%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

A total of 3,138 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 558 have died.

To date, a total of 1,810,177 doses of the vaccine have been administered statewide, with 61.5% of the population fully vaccinated at 69.4% who have received at least one shot.
