“You can have all the beds in the world but if you have a staff that is burnt out and you gotta call in federal support – one, that costs money and we don’t know how long that resource will be available – the bigger concern is basically frying our healthcare works to the point where they don’t want to be healthcare workers anymore,” said Mayor Kawakami.
