Approximately $150,000 in capital improvement project monies was released by Gov. David Ige for the renovation of nurseries at DLNR’s Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) in Līhuʻe and Kōkeʻe.

“Representative Dee Morikawa played an instrumental role in securing these monies and I’m happy to have supported her efforts to help DOFAW renovate their nursing facilities on Kauaʻi,” said Senate President Ronald D. Kouchi. “These plant nurseries help to propagate and protect rare native species and we are grateful for the Governor’s support.”
