The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 234 new cases of coronavirus statewide Thursday, bringing the overall total to 41,303. Over the past two days, there have been five new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The increase in coronavirus cases has been expected with more travel and the arrival of the Delta variant in the Hawaiian Islands.
The state’s two-week average is now 185 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 4.8%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

Out-of-State: 1,614
A total of 2,684 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 534 have died.
