6 New Cases Identified
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 164 new cases of coronavirus statewide Sunday, bringing the overall total to 39,254. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
A total of 6 new cases were identified on Kaua‘i Sunday. According to Hawai‘i County Civil Defense Agency, there are currently 164 active cases and nine hospitalizations. The state’s two-week average is now 98 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 3.1%.

A total of 2,561 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 523 have died.
