KFD Responds to Structure Fire in Kīlauea

Ko‘olau Road in Kīlauea is closed due to a structure fire this afternoon. Only local traffic is currently permitted in the area.
Kaua‘i Fire Department is staging fire units and shuttling water via Ko‘olau Road. The public is advised to avoid the area.
Firefighters with stations 8, 2, 3, Rescue 3, Air 1, the Department of Public Works are responding to the blaze.
Updates will be provided when more information becomes available.
