70 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Statewide

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 70 new cases of coronavirus Saturday. The statewide total is now 37,284. One new COVID-related death was reported.
The state’s two-week average is 38 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 0.9%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,824
Maui: 3,819
Hawai‘i: 3,124
Kaua‘i: 342
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,264

A total of 2,416 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 511 have died.
