KPD Charges Kapa´a Man With Array of Drug Charges

Kauaʿi police on Monday announced the recent arrest of a suspect on drug charges.

KPD officers arrested 36-year-old Joshua Grimes of Kapa´a on June 8, 2021, after reportedly locating methamphetamine and heroin in his possession.

The Kauaʿi Police Department’s Vice Section executed a search warrant on Grimes and the bags on his person during an operation in the Kawaihau District. The search resulted in police recovering 207.9 net grams of methamphetamine, 55.4 gross grams of heroin and $2,021 in US currency.

Grimes was charged twice for Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the First Degree, once for Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Second Degree and once for Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree.

He is being held in the cellblock on a $215,000 bail.
