Scheduled Closures for Sections of Kōloa Road, Maluhia Road
Multiple sections of Kōloa Road and Maluhia Road are scheduled for lane closures from June 7-10.
Multiple sections of Kōloa Road and Maluhia Road will be under short lane closures for inspection and punch list completion work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additionally, expect brief occasional delays at the Kōloa Road-Ala Kalanikaumaka intersection for the continued construction of the Roundabout. There will be no work on Friday, June 11, in observance of Kamehameha Day.
Ōma‘o Road is a narrow residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph for the entire length of Ōma‘o Road. Through trucks are prohibited on Ōma‘o Road for the duration of this project. Eastbound motorists from the West Side, Kalāheo, or Lāwa‘i are recommended to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Kōloa and Po‘ipū.
Construction of the Kōloa Road Roundabout is currently projected to be complete by July 9, 2021. The current projected project’s final completion date is Aug. 27, 2021. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.
