Water services were restored to customers on Hanapēpē Road as of Thursday afternoon, June 3. Customers may resume normal water use.

The water was shut off to complete mainline work. The Department of Water will be conducting a flushing protocol of the new waterline. The work is part of the overall improvements to the Ele’ele Water System.

Customers are advised that when the water main is turned back on, air and or existing sediment may be mixed into the water causing it to appear white or discolored. This is normal and if it occurs, customers may flush water out from an outside hose bib until it is clear.
