Shark Sighting at Po‘ipū Beach Park

No swimming at Po‘ipū Beach Park is advised until further notice due to a shark sighting today.

Ocean Safety Bureau officials report that a possible six-to-eight-foot shark was sighted at Nukumoi Point at Po‘ipū Beach Park. As a safety precaution, officials have posted warning signs and are monitoring the area.

Lifeguards will reassess the area on Wednesday, June 2.
