The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 119 new cases of coronavirus Sunday. The statewide total is now 36,246. One new COVID-related death was reported.
2 new cases of the virus were identified on Kaua‘i Sunday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 52 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.1%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,376
Maui: 3,644
Hawai‘i: 2,885
Kaua‘i: 317
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,191
A total of 2,327 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 500 have died.
