COVID Averages Press Downward in Hawaii
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 34 new cases of coronavirus Monday. The statewide total is now 35,901. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
The state’s two-week average is 58 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.1%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
A total of 2,285 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 496 have died.
To date, a total of 1,463,440 shots of vaccine have been administered statewide.
