COVID-19 testing is ongoing at Kaua‘i Community Correctional Center following reports of a positive case identified among KCCC staff.

As of Wednesday, May 5, KCCC reported 94 negative inmate test results and 55 negative staff test results. This is on top of the 44 negative inmate results previously reported.

Mass testing was conducted after one KCCC employee reported a positive COVID test earlier this week. There are currently no active COVID-19 cases in the inmate population. For more information on PSD’s planning and response efforts to COVID-19 click here.
