Multiple sections of Kōloa Road and Maluhia Road are scheduled for lane closures from May 3-5.

Multiple sections of Kōloa Road will be under a single-lane closure for shoulder construction, pavement work and striping operations from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additionally, portions of Maluhia Road will also be under short lane closures for inspection and punch list completion work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

As a reminder, Ōma‘o Road is a narrow residential road that is not intended to be used as a detour route and not designed for high volumes of traffic or truck traffic. The speed limit is 25 mph for the entire length of Ōma‘o Road. Through trucks are prohibited on Ōma‘o Road for the duration of this project. Eastbound motorists from the West Side, Kalāheo, or Lāwa‘i are recommended to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Kōloa and Po‘ipū.

Construction of the Koloa Road Roundabout is currently projected to be complete by May 25, 2021. The current projected project final completion date is July 13, 2021. Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Tristan Gonzales at 808-462-8057 or Ryan Moura at 808-298-2431.
