Kaua‘i health officials are urging residents who would like to get vaccinated for COVID-19 to get their first dose before the end of this month.

The Department of Health (DOH) vaccine clinic in Līhuʻe will stop administering vaccine first doses at the end of April, due to a decline in demand. In May, vaccine first doses will only be available through hospital and pharmacy clinic locations. The DOH clinic will continue to provide second doses to those who received first doses this month.

Appointments are available at the DOH clinic from April 27 to 29 by filling out the Kaua‘i District Health Office COVID-19 Vaccine Allocation Survey or visiting Kauai.gov/vaccine. The vaccine manufactured by Moderna is available at this location.

If you are a resident age 60 or older, or you need English-language assistance and haven’t been able to schedule your appointment yet, please come to the War Memorial Convention Hall on Tuesday, April 27, Wednesday, April 28, or Thursday, April 29 between 9 and 11 a.m. and we will help you on-site. Please make sure to bring a cell phone or access to an email address. After these dates, walk-in assistance will be discontinued.

Vaccine language assistance available at War Memorial Convention Hall on Tuesday, April 27, Wednesday, April 28, and Thursday, April 29, 9 to 11 a.m.:
