US Rep. Kai Kahele for the 2nd Congressional District led Kaua‘i County’s bi-weekly COVID-19 update.

Kahele reported no new COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, April 8. There are currently nine active cases. One individual is hospitalized and 34 people were identified as close contacts and are in quarantine.

More than 48,000 vaccines have been administered on Kaua‘i. The Department of Health vaccine clinic at the Convention Hall in Līhu‘e is now accepting walk-ins for Kauai residents aged 70 or older. The DOH clinic is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9-11 a.m.
