COVID Spike Continues as Hawai‘i Registers Triple-Digit Cases Again Monday

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 103 new cases of coronavirus Monday, raising the statewide total to 29,511. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

Monday is the fifth straight day Hawai‘i has registered at least 100 new cases of the virus. The state’s two-week average is 90 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.8%.

Nearly 2,000 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 462 people have died.

More than 600,000 doses of the vaccine had been administered across all islands as of Monday.
