Highway Near Hanalei Bridge Now open to 1 Lane of Alternating Traffic

Kūhiō Highway in the vicinity of the Hanalei Bridge is now open to one lane of alternating traffic. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and allow for extra travel time as traffic may be slow-going.

While the National Weather Service has canceled the flash flood warning for Kaua‘i, a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday afternoon. A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that leads to flash flooding. Residents and visitors should monitor the weather and be prepared to take action in the event that a flash flood warning is issued.
