School eWaste Recycling Contest Announced

The County of Kaua‘i  Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division with the Hawai‘i State Department of Health are sponsoring an Electronic Waste (eWaste) recycling drive open to all public, private, and home school students grade K-12 on Kaua‘i. Teachers can win up to $2,000 in gift cards for their classroom, and students can win a $500 gift card to use at Kukui Grove Shopping Center.

Teachers and students or family and friends of students who are interested in this contest can visit www.kauai.gov/recycling for more information. Contest tickets will be available for download and accepted until May 1, 2021, which is the duration time for the contest.

eWaste recycling services are provided by Resource Recovery Solutions operating out of Puhi Metals Recycling Facility located at 3951 Puhi Road, weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
