Emergency Water Service Shutdown Scheduled on Kīlauea Road

An emergency water service shutdown is scheduled for a portion of Kīlauea Road; from Kauapea Road to the Kīlauea Lighthouse, beginning at approximately 11 a.m.

The water will be turned off for approximately 2 to 3 hours in order to allow the Department of Water to conduct emergency repairs to a recent main line break on Kilauea Road.

Customers located within the affected service area are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:

·Store enough water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
·Notify neighbors, family and friends of the shutdown.
·Those with faulty water heaters should ensure their water heater does not empty.
·Businesses should prepare accordingly for a water service shutdown.
