Kapa‘a Residence Damaged After Shed Fire
No injuries were reported after a storage shed caught fire at a Kapa‘a residence this afternoon.
Kaiākea and Kapa‘a firefighters were dispatched to a home on Mei Place in Kapa‘a shortly before 1:45 p.m., where they found a plastic storage shed on fire. Firefighters were able to quickly gain control of the fire and fully extinguish the blaze shortly after arriving on scene.
The cost of damages to the shed and its contents are estimated at approximately $5,000. There was also damage to the main residence due to radiant heat from the flames.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
