Access will continue to be available to pedestrians and bicyclists.

Additionally, an overnight bridge closure has been scheduled for Feb. 2 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Feb. 3 to conduct waterline installation work on Hanapepe Bridge and on a portion of Hanapepe Road in Hanapepe.

The intermittent bridge closures are necessary, in order to allow contractor, Goodfellow Bros. LLC. to continue with planned waterline installation and improvements work, as part of the Hanapepe-Ele’ele Water Systems Improvements Project.

A detour route is provided to facilitate vehicular traffic within the area. Vehicles westbound may take routes through Hana Road and Hanapepe Road, while vehicles eastbound may take detour routes through Puolo Road and Hanapepe Road.

For more information, contact Ryan Mountcastle with Goodfellow Bros. LLC at 808-658-1151 or email [email protected].
