The Department of Public Works Wastewater Management Division’s contractor will be performing closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections on the Līhu‘e sewer collection system from Dec. 8-15.

Sewer manholes will be used to access the sewer line and deploy the camera. It is anticipated that the contractor will be at a manhole between one and four hours. The purpose of the inspections is to assess the condition of the sewer lines and manholes in the area.

The inspections will be performed in the Līhu‘e Gardens subdivision units 1, 2, and 3. Inspections will also be performed on the following roads: Umi Street, Hardy Street, Rice Street, Aukele Street, and Peleke Street. The inspections will be performed during the daytime, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Traffic control, using flaggers, will be implemented in the work areas. Motorists should drive with caution, expect delays, and adjust their travel times as needed.
