DPW Announces Multiple Single-Lane Closures

The Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC. have announced that Maluhia Road and Kōloa Road are scheduled for single-lane closures from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4.

Restriping work will be conducted on Maluhia Road under a single lane closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. One lane of alternating traffic will be maintained. Flaggers will be positioned to assist motorists during these closures.

Additionally, multiple sections of Kōloa Road, from Po‘ipū Road to Piko Road, will be under single-lane closures for shoulder construction and pavement work. The hours of operation for the single-lane closures will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.

Given the intensity of the work on Kōloa Road, eastbound motorists from the west side, Kalāheo, or Lāwa‘i are recommended to take Kaumuali‘i Highway to Maluhia Road to access Kōloa and Po‘ipū.

Traffic delays may occur during this period, so plan ahead. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signs and personnel.
