The Department of Water (DOW) has issued an immediate water conservation request for customers in Kalaheo until further notice due to an electrical power outage that is affecting the Kalaheo pump station.

Due to the power outage, pump stations have not been able to replenish the water supply in the Kalaheo storage tank. Residents and business are asked to limit water use to essential needs only; such as cooking, showering and toilet flushing, in order to avoid a full water outage.

Water conservation measures include refraining from car washing, turning off automatic irrigation systems, ice machines and using water wisely indoors and outdoors.

An update will be provided as soon as new information becomes available.
